  1. Into a cooker, add in 2 tablespoon of oil and add cinnamon, cloves and cardamom pods. Now add in sliced onions and fry until they are translucent. Now add in slit green chillies for spice.
  2. Add a spoon of ginger garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes. Add finely chopped coriander and mint leaves and give it a stir. Now add a big spoon of thick curd to it and fry.
  3. Now add in all the masalas like turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, Dhaniya powder and garam masala and fry until the raw smell goes off.
  4. Once the masalas are cooked, add in cubed tomatoes and fry until it becomes mushy. Add in the green peas and give it a stir.
  5. Add in the water and let it boil. Now add in the washed rice and close the cooker and pressure cook it on high flame for 2 whistles. Wait until the pressure gets released.
  6. Fluff it up gently and let it rest for 30 minutes. And it’s ready to be served. It tastes yummy with Onion raita.
