Instructions to make Peas Pulao with Broccoli fry:
  1. Pulao Method: Soak basmati rice for 20 mins.
  2. Prepare coconut milk by blending fresh coconut with water.
  3. Grind the chilies and keep it aside.
  4. In a pressure cooker, add ghee,chopped garlic,Bay leaves,cloves and jeera. Saute well till you get nice aroma.
  5. Add the onions and saute till onions turn brown.
  6. Add green chilies and saute for a min.
  7. Add required salt.
  8. Add the soaked basmati rice,1 cup of coconut milk and 1 1/3 cup of water.
  9. Pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  10. Wait till the pressure releases itself. Give a mix without breaking the rice. Serve Hot with any Gravy/Curry.
  11. Broccoli Fry Method: Cut broccoli into small flowers, wash and keep it aside.
  12. In a kadai heat oil, add the mustard seeds. Once it splutters add jeera and urad Dhal.
  13. Add the onions and saute till it turns brown.
  14. Add the tomatoes and saute till it becomes mushy.
  15. Now add the chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  16. Add the broccoli and little water. Cover and cook till the broccoli gets cooked well.
  17. Remove the cover and simmer. Add oil if it's too dry else it will get burnt.
  18. Switch off once the broccoli is fried well :)
